reccurring events - cant set period for reccurence details settings

Running vtiger 8.3 + PHP 8.3 is currently unable to set the period (days, weeks ..) for recurring events. The drop down shows just 'no matches found'. Thus it is impossible to create recurring events in latest vtiger open source.
