Settings > Tax Calculations no editing possible after saving edited Tax

Description

In Settings > Tax Calculations no editing is possible after saving edited Tax. Wanting to edit the just edited Strings for Original "VAT" like "MwSt?.-Deutschland" or "MwSt?." does not change anything. You can edit the fields, you can save it without any error warning, but the data isn´t changed in any way.

To reproduce, simply change the original VAT Name to something else, save it and then edit it to something else again and save that again. You will see that the second changes are not there.

we were not able to reproduce this issue on both Windows (XP-professional) and Linux (Fedora 7). Can you please share some more information to reproduce this issue.

I am using the actual xampp 1.7.0 from http://apachefriends.org with

  • Apache HTTPD 2.2.11 + Openssl 0.9.8i
  • MySQL 5.1.30
  • PHP 5.2.8

and Firefox 3.06 and IE6. There are no changes stored in the database after the first change. Changing data in vtiger elsewhere are all stored in the db without problem.

I also can not provide anything with an space in those fields, like i said, no matter what i change , the changes are not stored in the db as i can see in phpmyadmin. Changing the Data manually in the db --> vtiger_inventorytaxinfo is displayed as i have changed it, so the storage-process of the data seems to be the problem as even emptying the cache etc. does not change anything.

We are still not able to reproduce this issue. Can you please try to reproduce the same on our demo server (http://en.vtiger.com/wip) and update us on the issue?

Hi I also have seen the same behaviour in both my own system, and the vtiger demo server.

If you look at the taxes defined on the vtiger demo server any tax created with a space in its name cannot be edited, but a tax without a space can.

So for example on the vtiger demo server GST can be edited but VOIP Dienste cannot.

this is reproduced when the space is given in the tax name
